Recent passage of the Economic Stimulus plan is allowing homeowners the chance to take advantage of modified and extended tax credits for energy-efficient improvements, which includes windows and doors.

The tax credit is equal to 30% of the cost of qualifying energy efficient upgrades up to a maximum of $1500.00 for a household for 2009 and 2010.

Qualifying window and door products must have both a U-Factor of 0.30 or lower and a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient
(SHGC) of 0.30 or lower.
